ScratchBack is a friendly online "tipping system" for bloggers. It's a great alternative to a "Paypal Donation" button, because your potential sponsors will be tempted by a worthwhile reward. How it Works:
First you will need to sign up and install their widget code on your site. This should only take a matter of minutes to get your self up and running. Their system allows you to accept tips from advertisers and in return they will receive image or text links on your site.
Payout Rate:
The current commission structure has been switched from 50% to 90% for the publisher. This is an outrageously wonderful ratio! So you'll make 9 out of every 10 dollars sold on your site (payments made via PayPal).
Customization:
You might run in to problems when it comes to blending the widget in with your blog. Other than that, they allow you to choose from multiple themes, and some of which are pretty good looking. And the rest of the designs have a bit of a junky look to them, so don't get too excited...
My Experience with ScratchBack:
To be honest, I have neither used it on this blog nor on WidgetsForFree™. So I will have to rely on my readers to give us some honest feedback. Although, I might give it a shot once this blog when reaches it's max potential or if I receive complete powers over the design and layout of the widget...
Update: I tried the widget out at WidgetsForFree™. After two days, none of my readers wanted to advertise on my site for only $1! So I took it down. As of now I receive about 300 unique visitors per day. Why would no one advertise with me?

Thanks for the honest review John.
this is out of topic - Hi there john thanks for dropping by at my blog hope you'll come back to visit thanks! :) Daniel of Daniel Dumas :: PHP Programmer Philippines
I used ScratchBack once, but found it disappointing. I never achieved the payout threshold until I begged people to tip me. Once I reached the payout amount, I pulled the widget. I think it gets lost on the sidebar and people forget about it.
Why would advertisers pull out when you install the widget? Did you ask?
dude you and em sailing on the same boat..even after continuous effort i dnt get more then 400 visitors so..wait for sometime ..once u get ...ample anmount of visitors...then try to switch to monetizing your site...right now...btr ..built reader repo..!!!
Good stuff.
:)
I have tried Scratchback. Unsuccessful so far. I am just keeping the widget so that my lone advertiser is not disappointed. Thanks.
Thanks... I'll give Scratchback a try. Been looking for a somewhat uninvasive way to monetize.
same here i also used it for some time but then switched to linkshowoff.com which has a lower payout limit $10 which seems some what realistic to achiveve :)
I'll take a look at this and linkshowoff.com as well.
